Fixed Stars
Fixed Stars are often looked at in natal, transiting, progressed and even composite charts. The most common fixed stars that are considered are Alphard, Pleiades, Spica and Cepheus. But there are hundreds more, not all of which really matter much. In the charts I read on the blog I often refer to certain fixed stars because of the traditional readings indicate they are negative or evil and such things are to be considered when people are murdered or abducted. In particular, Caput Algol is the most evil and violent of all and the Pleiades are the saddest. I have seen many charts in which the Pleiades were right at the midheaven at the time of a vicious murder that ended up being infamous. A prime example is the Gainseville murders where 5 students were viciously murdered on 3 consecutive nights. In each event, the time advanced just enough to put the Pleiades at the midheaven. The hour at which each murder occurred literally advanced just enough to cause the fixed stars to be placed in the same way each time. It was literally amazing when I saw it. It is another example of how Astrology teaches those who read it in unexpected ways.
Here are the fixed stars I use in the forensic charts and their actual placements. Also noted is their expected “effect” in the chart.

Ras Algethi: 14 degrees 45 minutes Sagittarius: can mean a devious plot is involved.
With each of these stars the same orb of influence applies as with planets and cusps. Consider transits to the natal positions of these stars as well as their placement in the forensic chart. Practice placing them in the chart and seeing what they say. I use these stars as a last ditch effort in many charts were nothing is making sense. However, they can be used at any time and can lend a new dimension to a tired or confusing chart.
